Sevaskar paints a dystopian scenery on his new album "Skar City."

Songs like 'Skarred' and 'Lost' bring much needed moments of calmness to the record feeling like you're strolling down some long abandoned city on Mars.

A slow-paced opener 'Future Ruins' starts with a sample of an apocalyptic prophet - as if predicting what lies ahead for both the listener and humanity itself. By the end of the track the rumbling samples become louder with razor-sharp guitars building up the tension.

The mean riffs of the follower 'Run' evokes the golden era of industrial — early Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy and Ministry. The aura of these bands — a clear source of inspiration for Sevaskar — hangs over the first half of the release, before it smoothly deviates from groovy industrial metal towards dark wave and ambient in the second half of the album.

"Skar City" is a strong eclectic release that manages to feel heavy, creepy and cinematic.
